From day one, you will have access to an extensive library of industry-focused materials that will provide the first vital step in finding employment. You will be expose Real World Knowledge from Active Industry Players and in addition to bringing you guest speakers, our Industry Outreach team maintains relationships with employers to provide insight into the offerings of Sound of Sounds Institute of Creative Arts Science and Technology / Creative Arts Skills Warehouse / Youth S.O.S.I.C.A.S.T / Creative Skills Revolution Hub and the capabilities of our students and graduates.
Before You Graduate
In your project based-specific curriculum, you’ll have the opportunity to work on your career development and planning, as well as your portfolio, through a series of Professional Development Seminars, Workshops and Clinics.
These Seminars, Workshops and Clinics will focus on a variety of topics, including personal branding, career research, networking, and more.
Additionally, all enrolled students take a Creative Industry Readiness Course at the beginning of their training program to help them find their footing in understanding the Industry’s rules of engagements and etiquette for building a successful career.
Prior to graduation, you will develop a multifaceted employment and entrepreneurial strategy through one-on-one appointments with your industry-specific advisor. This includes;
- strategizing career paths and location options,
- tailoring personal profiles, cover letters and CVs to specific companies,
- conducting practice interviews or reviewing showreels, demos, and focusing all your available efforts on finding your dream job.
Moreover, guidelines on how you can position yourself in the creative industry and start your own business.
S.O.S.I.C.A.S.T Connect Community
Through S.O.S.I.C.A.S.T Connect Community, you will be given the opportunity to network with and ask advice from fellow graduates. Sound of Sounds Institute of Creative Arts Science and Technology / Creative Arts Skills Warehouse Student Career Development department will be available throughout your career, keeping you up to speed as trends come and go and the professional landscape evolves.
Additionally, you will have access to employment opportunities, notification of in-person regional events, tips on resources, and much much more.
